Chicago Fire photos tease Kidd and Severide’s futures at 51

Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) had quite a rocky journey in Chicago Fire season 10. They parted ways, got engaged, nearly broke up, and tied the knot in the finale episode, before being cornered by an enemy in the episode’s closing seconds.

So what gives? What becomes of the beloved Stellaride pairing? Are they affected by the season finale or do they resume business as usual when Chicago Fire comes back? Well, NBC has finally given us a clue.

The promo photos for Fire show that both made it out of their honeymoon-ruining altercation. They are front-and-center when it comes to the action that takes place in the season 11 episode, “Hold on Tight.”

Kidd is not only seen coming to the aid of a victim alongside the medic team, but leading the charge as the 51 team attempts to resolve an emergency. The importance that Kidd is going to play in the season cannot be overstated, and Chicago Fire has underlined this point by making her a prominent figure on the poster.

Severide doesn’t get as much face time in the promo photos as his spouse, but he can clearly be seen helping Capp (Randy Flagler) sort through the aftermath of a ruined structure. Capp has been a steady supporting player since the show started, so it’ll be interesting to see if the show decides to roll the dice on putting him in danger.

It would be a safe way to drum up drama, while maintaining the safety of a main cast that’s still reeling from the departure of Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer).
