Following another successful and wildly entertaining season, Chicago Fire will be returning to NBC’s schedule this fall with what promises to be quite a season for the network’s flagship One Chicago series.

While there is little known about the upcoming eleventh season of Chicago Fire, one thing that is certain is fans should be in for yet another amazing season filled with the promise of some truly incredible episodes.

As we look ahead to the return to 51, we’ve rounded up everything we know about the upcoming season of Chicago Fire including when we expect the show to return, details on who should be back in action and more.

Chicago Fire season 11 release date

The new season of Chicago Fire will once again kick off this fall as part of NBC’s 2022-23 season. This year, NBC’s fall schedule is set to begin the week of Sept. 19 with the season 11 premiere date for One Chicago’s firehouse drama set for Sept. 21 at 9/8c.

As in past seasons, Fire will help bridge new episodes of Chicago Med and Chicago PD which will also begin their new seasons on Sept. 21.

When does Chicago Fire season 11 begin?

Fans can start counting down the days as we’re getting closer and closer to the new season with each passing day! As confirmed by NBC, the new season of Chicago Fire will begin at 9/8c on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022!

Meanwhile, it is not expected that Jesse Spencer will be returning as Matt Casey nor do we expect to see Caitlin Carver back as paramedic Emma Jacobs. We are expecting at least a few new faces to pop up this season including Jake Lockett who has joined the show in the recurring role of firefighter Sam Carver.

Chicago Fire season 11 premiere synopsis

Currently, NBC has not released an official synopsis for season 11 of Chicago Fire, so all we have to go off of the network’s broader synopsis which you can check out below:

"This edge-of-your-seat ride is a look into the professional and personal lives of the firefighters and paramedics of Firehouse 51 as they risk their lives every day to save and protect the citizens of Chicago."

We do, however, know that the first episode of the new season will be titled “Hold On Tight.”

While NBC has opted not to release solo trailers for its One Chicago dramas thus far, the network has debuted our first look at the upcoming season via a new joint One Chicago trailer. In the new spot, fans get their first look at the upcoming seasons of the shows including a glimpse of Severide and Kidd’s honeymoon at the cabin where they’re greeted by an unexpected guest!
