Chicago PD: Jesse Lee Soffer posts set photos from final season

Jesse Lee Soffer broke all of our hearts when he announced that he would be leaving Chicago PD. His performance as Jay Halstead has been central to the success of the show, and we’re hopeful that the rest of the ensemble will be able to carry on without him.

On the bright side, Soffer has continued to have fun on the set of the upcoming season 10. He’s been photographed alongside fans, and has posted several photos of his own alongside the other PD cast members.

These posts include a candid photo of Soffer alongside his onscreen wife, Tracy Spiridakos, and Jason Beghe. It’s great to this trio together in particular, because the synopsis for the season 10 premiere teases major problems for their respective characters:

"“Still reeling from the death of informant Anna, Voight (Beghe) faces a new threat as he tries to keep the neighborhood clean; new wrinkles develop in the Upton (Spiridakos), Halstead (Soffer) and Voight dynamic; the team gets a new chief.”"

Soffer has also popped up on Spiridakos’ Instagram Stories. This post is a little goofier, and sees the actor brandish finger guns alongside the latter and Patrick John Flueger. Spiridakos has been outwardly supportive of Soffer during his final stretch on the show, and went as far as to post a farewell message to him on Instagram.

"“Jesse, what can I say, you’re the absolute best”, she wrote. “Thank you for your kindness, your guidance and your friendship. You’re the greatest onscreen husband a girl could ask for. I’ll miss being on set with you every day. I can’t wait to see what the world has in store for you next.”"

While Chicago PD is almost back, we’re sure to get plenty of set photos and candid shots of Soffer and company in the lead up to his exit.
