The summer break is almost over, and that means we’ll get to see Firehouse 51 back in action. What can we expect in the Chicago Fire season 11 premiere?

We left a couple of characters in a dangerous situation at the end of season 10. The summer break has been filled with questions, wondering if and how these characters are going to get out of trouble without too many problems.

That summer break is almost over. Fall TV starts next week, with the season 11 premiere airing on Wednesday, Sept. 21. It’s a One Chicago lineup as we’ve become used to, and we’re holding out hope for a major three-way crossover event like we got with the flesh-eating bacteria attack a few years ago.

For now, we have to focus on just the premiere episode. It’s all about whether Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) will make it through their honeymoon alive. Let’s take a look at what we can expect from the episode.

Chicago Fire 11×01 promo

The promo doesn’t give us too much to work with. Like so many other promos for the three One Chicago shows, one promo covers all three shows returning. However, it does give us a look at the big storyline we’re expecting in the premiere. It really is all about Stella and Severide.

Chicago Fire 11×01 synopsis

The synopsis also puts the focus on Stellaride. The two are supposed to be able to enjoy their honeymoon, but others have different ideas. There is someone dangerous from their past putting their lives on the line, and we know who that is going to be. It’s all linked to the drug bust that Severide was involved in.

Also for Kidd, she’s going to get another blast from the past. One of her former classmates from the Academy is joining Firehouse 51. Will they be able to deal with Stella now in charge?

Over on Ambo 61, we’ll see Brett (Kara Kilmer) and Violet (Hanako Greensmith) reflect on their relationships. Brett and Casey had broken up, unable to deal with the distance but both unwilling to move. Meanwhile, Violet has to decide what she’s going to do about her relationship with Chief Evan Hawkins (Jimmy Nicholas).

"Kidd and Severide’s honeymoon is interrupted by a dangerous person from their past; Kidd’s former academy classmate joins Firehouse 51; Brett and Violet reflect on their relationships."

Take a look at the photos released for the new episode. They don’t give too much away, but it is clear that Stella and Severide are going to get out of dodge when it comes to her honeymoon.
