Chicago PD: Are Marina Squerciati and Patrick Flueger dating?
Burgess and Ruzek have been through a lot. The former couple tried to make things work as a parental unit in Chicago PD season 9, but professional dangers surfaced, and they were forced to navigate a hostage situation involving their daughter.
The close call led them to take some time apart, but its clear from their history together that they will never be completely out of each other’s lives. When chemistry between characters is strong, fans invariably question whether it transcends what’s seen on TV.

Who is Patrick Flueger dating 2022?
Well, this one is easy to debunk. The short answer is no. The longer answer is they can’t be dating because Squerciati is married to someone else. The actor is married to an attorney named Eli Kay-Oliphant, and together they welcomed a daughter in 2017.
The pregnancy led to some brief structural changes on PD, including writing Squerciati out of a few episodes so she could go on maternity leave, and altering the staging of certain shots so her pregnancy was less notable.

Flueger has also been in a serious relationship for several years. While the actor has made a point of keeping his personal life under wraps, we do know that he’s been dating a woman named Reem Amara since 2019. Amara actually appeared on a 2020 episode of Chicago PD, “Center Mass” and Flueger, without missing a beat, joked about her cameo on Instagram.
"“Does anybody know who played the hot nurse on last night’s episode of @nbcchicagopd?” he wrote. “I need to know. Cause I’m pretty sure I need to take her out on a date.”"
In short, all of the electricity that fans see between Squerciati and Flueger comes down to their talent as actors and their closeness as friends. Their personal lives appear to be uncomplicated and happy. As for Burgess and Ruzek, we can’t wait to see how they navigate their complicated situation in season 10.
