Chicago Fire boss teases three surprise returns coming in season 11
There was a lot to break down in the Chicago Fire season 11 premiere, but there’s also a lot to look forward to. The things to look forward to include surprise returns.
The Chicago Fire season 11 premiere gave us some updates on various characters. We also got a surprise return to help with Brett’s storyline. Kyle came back to share that he was engaged—it’s one of those relationships where the stars have aligned.
This is not the only return for the season. When talking to TV Insider, Derek Haas confirmed that there would be three surprise returns. We’ll also see another special character, which is more like a crossover with PD than anything else—yes, Amy Morton’s Trudy Platt is going to return, but as a series regular on Chicago PD, she’s not the biggest surprise.
Who will return in Chicago Fire season 11?
The new season will see three characters, one of which we haven’t see for a few years. It’s time for Boden’s personal life to come up again.
It’s time to catch up with Terrance Boden on Chicago Fire. We don’t know who will play the character now as he is still on the younger side, and there are no details as to how he’ll come into the story.
One of the other confirmed returns is Donna, played by Melissa Ponzio. This makes sense for Terrance to come back into the story. Is it possible that we’re going back to Boden’s house, or will they turn up at the firehouse?
Another confirmed return is someone we see a lot. Cindy Herrmann (Robyn Coffin) is coming back. We always look forward to seeing Cindy. She’s great to bring a sense of balance and heart to Herrmann’s storylines, usually offering him the much-needed advice that he needs before he does something stupid—or to rectify whatever he has done. Does that mean we’ll see some of their children? Maybe, but they’re not confirmed.
