Who is most likely to die in Chicago Fire season 11 episode 3? (Spoilers)
By Cody Schultz
If NBC’s promo for the upcoming third episode of Chicago Fire is to be believed, it seems we’re about to bid farewell to a member of 51 — and fans are understandably in a panic.
Following the second episode of the season, the promo for Chicago Fire season 11 episode 3 arrived and was not what fans had anticipated. In the promo, we see 51 responding to a movie theater fire and things quickly turn grim as the promo teases that “someone won’t make it out.”
The tease is featured across a series of shots showing various members of 51 battling the fire which comes to a head when the building begins caving in leaving Chief Boden sending out a Mayday call as he runs towards the rubble. But it’s the final shot, one of Brett fearfully looking to Boden in a moment that seems to suggest she’s just lost the patient on her gurney.
The promo has left fans to worry about which member of 51 might perish in the fire. While we’ll have to wait until the episode airs to know who exactly dies in the fire, newly released photos from episode 4 offer confirmation regarding who won’t die in the episode.
Who could die in Chicago Fire season 11 episode 3
Heading into the episode, the only three characters we knew for certain would be safe were Brett, Violet and Boden as the trio was seen outside when the building collapsed. We’ve also since seen Boden and Brett in images for episode 4, which confirmed they both are safe and won’t be the character to die in the episode.
New images for episode 4 also feature Severide, Cruz, Capp and Tony responding to a call that seems to confirm that the four members of Squad will all survive the movie theater fire as well. This leaves six characters in jeopardy: Herrmann, Mouch, Kidd, Gallo, Ritter and Carver.

Given we’ve only just met Carver, there is a chance he could be the character to perish in the fire; however, it seems like the writers have just begun to scratch the surface of the character. As such, we struggle to believe they’d kill him off in the episode when there is still so much unknown about him.
Of the remaining five characters, we feel like Kidd should also be safe as we can’t see the show killing her character off. This leaves Herrmann, Mouch, Gallo and Ritter, who seem to be in the most danger and we sadly won’t be surprised if one character from the group ends up being the character who dies in the episode.
