Get ready for Chicago Med season 8 episode 3, “Winning the Battle, But Losing the War” with our episode 3 preview.

Last week on Chicago Med, things got heated between the doctors at Med as supply chain disruptions led to two teams having to make their case to Goodwin in order to get an in-demand contrast dye for their patient.

When the dye was allocated to Sam and Hannah for their patient, Med’s surgical resident Kai went rogue nearly killing his and Crockett’s patient — only to then file a complaint against Crockett for “taking credit” from him when cleaning up his mess.

Elsewhere in the episode, tensions rose between Dean and Ethan over how to treat a patient with ALS while Maggie and Ben found themselves at odds after Maggie revealed the secret she had been keeping from him regarding the arrival of Vanessa’s biological father.

Here’s how NBC officially describes season 8 episode 3:

"Charles and Nellie clash over the treatment of a paranoid patient. Ethan treats a pregnant patient from Hannah’s past. Crockett and Vanessa help a man who needs a risky neurosurgery."
