Is Missy Peregrym still on FBI? (Did Maggie leave?)

Missy Peregrym hasn’t appeared in an episode of FBI season 5 thus far leaving many fans to wonder if she’s left the series. It’s an understandable question to be asking given that we haven’t seen Special Agent Maggie Bell since the eighteenth episode of season 4 which aired way back in April.

In the episode, Maggie was exposed to deadly sarin gas while attempting to stop it from being sold to terrorists. While OA was able to get to Maggie in time to give her a life-saving antidote, the gas took a serious toll on her health leaving her sidelined and facing a long recovery.

Many fans hoped that we’d see Maggie back at the beginning of the new season when it arrived this September; however, we’re a few episodes into the season and Maggie is still MIA. Could it be that the storyline was actually used to write Peregrym off the show or will Maggie be back?

Is Maggie still on FBI?

While Maggie has been sidelined since late last season, her character is still a part of the FBI team and Missy Peregrym is still very much a part of the cast. Not only does Peregrym remain a part of the cast, but she’s still a series regular and will return to the show soon.

As for why Maggie has been missing from the first episodes of season 5? Maggie’s exit storyline was introduced to accommodate Peregrym’s pregnancy leave from the show — something Peregrym has been open about on her social media platforms.

When will Missy Peregrym be back on FBI?

At this time, CBS has not confirmed the exact return date for Missy Peregrym’s Special Agent Maggie Bell but it’s expected Peregrym will return in the sixth or seventh episode of the season. Depending on whether the show takes any breaks in the weeks ahead, we could see the sixth episode arrive in late October.
