Jesse Lee Soffer has dominated the news cycle for Chicago PD, and rightfully so. The actor has been a core member of the cast for a decade, and his decision to leave will have repercussions on the rest of the One Chicago universe.

While it’s been sad to see him go, there’s been lots of praise given to Soffer for his charismatic presence on PD, and his natural chemistry with the rest of the cast members. We’re all fans of his at the end of the day, so there’s a natural curiosity to find out what he’s going to do next.

Does Soffer have a new show lined up? Here’s what we know so far.

What is Jesse Lee Soffer’s next project?

Soffer is a small screen veteran. He landed his first TV gig on Wings in 1995 (opposite future Med star Steven Weber), and prior to joining Chicago PD, he had bit parts on CSI: Miami, The Mentalist, and Rizzoli & Isles. Then there’s the film work.

An entire generation of 90s kids might remember him as Bobby Brady in The Brady Bunch Movie (1995) and A Very Brady Sequel (1996). The films have gone on to garner cult followings, though given how young Soffer was at the time, some fans may not realize its him. Soffer’s decision to focus on TV led to less films as he got older, with his last credit being the 2011 thriller In Time.

With such a decorated resume, it’s safe to assume that Soffer has TV offers lined up around the block. That being said, the actor has yet committed to any shows or films set for release during the 2023 season.

Given that he’s acted consistently since he was a child, there’s a decent chance that the actor just wants to take some time off, and focus on his personal life. There’s also the possibility that he will pull the trigger when the right project comes along, and is merely waiting until that happens.

Soffer’s screen appearances have been exclusive to the One Chicago universe for a decade. In fact, the last time he played a character that wasn’t Jay Halstead was in the 2013 made-for-TV film Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret. It’ll be a big deal whenever he does take on another part, and we will keep you updated on when it happens.
