Chicago Fire: Are Hanako Greensmith and Jimmy Nicholas dating?

Violet and Hawkins were poised to be a centerpiece couple on Chicago Fire. Their romance as an unexpected development in season 10, and yet, their chemistry and general charm made them an irresistible pairing. Fans were ready to see them together for a long time, and it seemed as though we’d get our wish when the two made their relationship public in season 11.

We should’ve known tragedy was around the corner. Fire always does a good job of keeping  the fans off balance, so the decision to kill off Hawkins was a smart, if not devastating move.

Given the chemistry between stars Hanako Greensmith and Jimmy Nicholas, some fans may be curious as to whether the actors are dating in real life. Do the onscreen couple continue their romance off screen?

The answer is no. Greensmith and Nicholas are not dating, despite their close friendship and tendency to appear on each other’s social media accounts. Greensmith even posted a tribute to Nicholas after it was revealed that his character was dead.

Greensmith is currently dating a man named Gabe Zoller. Several outlets have noted that the pair regularly pose for photos on Greensmith’s Instagram, despite there not being many instances of them talking about each other publicly. Zetter is the founder and CEO of Paralluxco and a creative producer at Nyufrl. His Instagram handle is @gabezetter.

According to Featured Biography, the two have been together since May 2016.

Nicholas has made even less public when it comes to his love life. The actor has not officially been linked to anyone, and his social media doesn’t hint at any current relationships. This could either mean he’s single or is simply going out of his way to keep his personal life separate from his professional one.

Be that as it may, the fact that Greensmith is in a relationship is proof that she and Nicholas are merely great friends and great actors, capable of making fans feel as though they’ve been in a romance for over a year. It’s a shame the latter’s character is gone. He’ll be missed.
