Chicago Fire spoilers: What to expect on Chicago Fire season 11, episode 4 (Preview)
After a heart-wrenching episode, Chicago Fire season 11, episode 4 continues to keep us on the edge of our seats. Will Boden save the boy?
We knew someone was going to die, but I don’t think any of us really expected it to be who it was. We’ve had to say goodbye to Hawkins, just as we hoped that he and Violet could finally enjoy a life together. They’d found a way to make it work.
Instead, we’ll have to see Violet deal with the loss of the man she loved. Firehouse 51 has lost too many up to this point. Violet may not have been there for those losses, but at least she knows that people know how she feels. She’s got her family to help her through this as long as she can accept that help.
We are heading into an episode that has another intense call. Here’s what to expect in Chicago Fire season 11, episode 4.
Chicago Fire 11×04 promo
The promo makes it clear what the big call of the week is going to be. Firehouse 51 is called out to a beach, where a boy has ended up covered in sand. He was clearly digging a hole when the sides of it collapsed on him.
Boden (Eamonn Walker) is stopping at nothing to save this boy. He digs furiously with his hands to get to the boy before it’s too late. Will he be able to get there, or will this be another loss Firehouse 51 has to deal with?

Chicago Fire 11×04 synopsis
The synopsis for “The Center of the Universe” gives us details of a couple of other storylines. We’ll get to see more of Carver’s (Jake Lockett) personal life. It turns out that it’s chaotic, but what will this mean for the way he works with Firehouse 51? Will Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) have a problem with the way Carver runs his life outside of work? Does that matter as long as it doesn’t affect his work life?
Meanwhile, Mouch and Herrmann receive some sort of gift. This is clearly going to be the humorous storyline for the episode, and we’re going to need it considering the weight of the beach storyline. What is this gift, and who is it from?
"Kidd gets a glimpse into Carver’s chaotic personal life; Mouch and Herrmann get an unexpected gift."
Chicago Fire 11×04 photos
The images for the episode are mostly focused on the beach storyline. There is one of Herrmann pulling Boden away, which suggests that it’s going to be a lost cause. Herrmann wouldn’t do this considering he’s a father of five, but sometimes, he has to think with his brain and not his heart.
