Who’s in, who’s out on Law and Order, SVU and Organized Crime?

There are few franchises more iconic than those from mega-producer Dick Wolf. From the One Chicago franchise to the FBI franchise, these shows have become some of the most successful shows on all of television. And then there is the franchise that started it all: the Law and order franchise!

It all began with the launch of Law & Order way back in the fall of 1990. While the franchise’s lineup of shows has changed a lot over the years, one thing that’s remained consistent over the years has been the amazing series that have made up the franchise.

Of course, with a franchise that has such a long and storied history, there have been a lot of actors to come and go over the years as storylines have dictated and when actors decided to move on to new projects.

As the most recent seasons come to a close and we begin to look ahead to the next seasons of  NBC’s hit franchise, we’re breaking down all there is to know about the latest casting shakeups on Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Organized Crime! 

Who’s leaving Law and Order?

At this time, there have not been any cast departures announced ahead of Law and Order season 23. It is possible there could be some changes to the show’s cast that unfold in the months leading up to the new season, but as of now no members of the cast are slated to depart the show before its return to NBC as part of the 2023-24 season.

Law and Order season 23 cast

Barring any unexpected changes to the cast during the offseason, it’s looking like all of the Law and Order cast members will be returning for season 23 including:

  • Jeffrey Donovan as Detective Frank Cosgrove
  • Hugh Dancy as Assistant District Attorney Nolan Price
  • Odelya Halevi as Assistant District Attorney Samantha Maroun
  • Camryn Manheim as Lt. Kate Dixon
  • Sam Waterston as District Attorney Jack McCoy
  • Mehcad Brooks as Detective Jalen Shaw
