After sitting on the sidelines last week, Chicago PD returns to NBC’s lineup with a fresh new episode this Wednesday night in what promises to be a big episode of LaRoyce Hawkins!

It seems fair to say Atwater hasn’t yet had his chance to shine this season and has been taking a back seat to some of the season’s other characters across the first few episodes. Well, that’s all about to change in episode 6 which will find Atwater at the center of the episode. just not in the way you might expect.

Chicago PD season 10 episode 6 synopsis

In “Sympathetic Reflex,” Atwater comes under fire after an arrest goes wrong. Suddenly, Atwater finds himself backed into a corner as his actions are called into question. As allegations are alleged against him, it’ll be up to the Intelligence Unit to uncover a key piece of evidence which holds the key to clearing Atwater’s name.

Here’s how NBC officially describes season 10 episode 6:

"Atwater’s reactions during a tense arrest are called into question. The team must dig in to uncover key evidence that could aid in the ongoing investigation and clear Atwater’s name."

As you might expect, the promo for Chicago PD episode 6 puts the focus on Atwater by providing us with an idea of the uphill battle he’s about to face this week. In the promo, we see Atwater coming under fire after an arrest goes terribly wrong leading to the suspect’s family making some bold claims against their son’s arresting officer.
