Is there a new Chicago PD episode tonight? (November 30)
Chicago PD has some big narrative moments up ahead. The investigation into Sean O’Neal (Jefferson White) is going to come to a conclusion, and we’re going to find out if Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) has been right in assuming he’s guilty.
There’s a lot riding on Upton’s case, especially considering the fact that Voight (Jason Beghe) and the rest of the IU are behind her, and that Sean is the son of the precinct chief (Michael Gaston). Careers will be made or broken, and lives will be forever changed as a result.
But when will we get this mid-season conclusion? Unfortunately, it won’t be this week.
When is Chicago PD coming back?
Chicago PD is not airing on Wednesday, November 30, as the show will continue its Thanksgiving hiatus. NBC is famed for moving around its schedule during the holidays, so Chicago PD and the other entries in the One Chicago franchise have been booted for a few weeks to make room for specials like the Thanksgiving’s Day Parade.
This is nothing new for the network. There are slight tweaks, depending on the specific schedule of each year, but for the most part, One Chicago takes a multi-week break around the same time. Those wondering when Chicago PD will resume its normal weekly schedule will be slightly down to discover that it will not do so until January 2023. Wednesday, January 4, 2023, to be exact.

On the bright side, Chicago PD will return for a single week in December to air its mid-season finale. The episode, which will present the aforementioned resolution of the Sean O’Neal case, will air on Wednesday, December 7. The Chicago Med and Fire mid-season finales will air on the same night, respectively.
Not much as been revealed in terms of plot, but the promo for PD‘s mid-season finale teases a verbal altercation between Voight and Chief O’Neal, as well as some pulse-pounding detecting scenes involving Upton. We can’t wait to see what happens.
