Is Chicago Med new tomorrow night on NBC? (Dec. 28, 2022)

The holidays have come to a close and the new year is almost upon us, but the wait for new episodes of Chicago Med will continue for another week. That’s right, there will not be a new episode of NBC’s One Chicago medical drama coming our way this Wednesday night.

While the holidays might be over, many of NBC’s primetime shows are still in reruns — or at least the lucky few. This week NBC will be airing reruns of Chicago Fire and Chicago PD, but Med fans will be left out in the cold as NBC will be airing The Wheel in the opening slot on Wednesday night.

As disappointing as it might be to know a new episode won’t be coming tonight or even a rerun, the good news is that fans won’t have to wait too much longer for new episodes to return!

When does Chicago Med return?

After taking several weeks off this December, Chicago Med will return to NBC’s schedule with new episodes beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023.

In the winter premiere, the men and women of Med will be hard at work as they tackle several new medical cases including one that will give fans the chance to see Med’s newest doctor working alongside a new face.

After making his debut before the fall hiatus, Justin will be teaming up with Hannah for an unusual case that will see the doctors heading out into the field to search for their patients missing pregnant wife.

Elsewhere, Charles and Nellie will come together to treat an elderly patient, while also helping her developmentally disabled grandson as Will helps treat a high school swimmer with a heart condition.
