After taking a few weeks off for the winter break, Chicago Fire is back. Take a look at the Chicago Fire spoilers for season 11, episode 10.

We are more than ready to check back in with Firehouse 51. A lot went down in the fall finale, and now we need some answers to the cliffhanger we were left with. The good news is a new episode is coming soon.

Chicago Fire is back on Wednesday, Jan. 4. This episode is sure to start with that cliffhanger, which saw the grenade go off with Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Carver (Jake Lockett) close by. Will both of them make it out alive? We’re breaking down the Chicago Fire spoilers to see what we can expect.

Just a warning, there are no images for the episode released at the time of writing this. It looks like NBC wants to keep the answers quiet.

Chicago Fire spoilers: 11×10 promo

The promo for the episode tells us nothing. We get clips of episodes past. This isn’t surprising when you consider the promo was released at the end of the fall finale. There’s no way NBC would have wanted to give away too much that early.

I love that Carver is part of the promo, though. Is this a sign that he is sticking around? Could it be a sign that both he and Kidd are fine and that we’ll see him around more?

Chicago Fire spoilers: 10×11 synopsis

The synopsis for the episode is now available, and it does give a little away as to what’s going to happen. We’re told that Detective Pryma’s case comes to an “explosive end.” Well, we already knew that. What we want to know is if everyone is getting out alive or not.

Brett (Kara Killmer) is going to bring something new to the firehouse. She’s going to have an infant-safe surrender box installed. Why would she suddenly decide to do this? Is there a chance she’s heard of an infant being surrendered but being left out in the cold? We know firehouses have a safe surrender policy, but there are some people who will leave babies out in the cold without alerting the team at the firehouse. The box could help to keep an infant warm.

Then there’s Violet (Hanako Greensmith), who is focused on taking Emma (Caitlin Carver) down. We saw Emma turn up in the fall finale, and it’s clear she wants to take down Firehouse 51. This is a woman who is going to do it quietly and maliciously, though. Violet isn’t going to stand for Emma still being with the fire department after everything that happened.

"Detective Pryma’s case comes to an explosive end with Kidd and Carver’s lives in danger; Brett installs an infant safe surrender box at 51; Violet is determined to take Emma down."
