Is Otis in Chicago Fire season 11?

As much as we’d love to see Yuriy Sardarov back on Chicago Fire, it’s doubtful we’ll see Otis back this season. We’ve not seen Otis since the character was killed back in season 8 and it’s unlikely we’re going to get to see him at any point in season 11.

Given Otis was killed, the only way to bring him back would be via flashbacks and this is a storytelling tool we haven’t seen too often in the One Chicago franchise. If they didn’t find a way to bring him back for some of their recent milestone episodes such as the 200th, we just don’t see them bringing him back for a random appearance this season.

Will Newhouse return to Chicago Fire?

Over the years, there have been a lot of amazing characters to come and go on Chicago Fire including Rick Newhouse.

Introduced in the second season of the show, Newhouse quickly became a fan-favorite character on the series leading to an increased role in season 3 and it was expected he would become a key part of the show moving forward. Instead, Newhouse left town for a vacation with his daughter in the thirteenth episode of season 3 and never made his way back to town after.

To this day, Newhouse’s storyline remains unresolved and it’s, unfortunately, going to remain that way. Edwin Hodge is now a series regular on FBI: Most Wanted which means we’re not expected to see Newhouse return to Chicago Fire this season and likely not in any upcoming season. We definitely will continue to hold out hope as he was an amazing character we’d love to see again, but there simply don’t appear to be any plans in place to bring him back into the fold anytime soon.
