6 Chicago Fire characters who definitely won’t be back in season 11

Will Antonio return to Chicago Fire?
Although Jon Seda might best be known for his work in Chicago PD, he actually started off as a key character on Chicago Fire. Before making the jump over to PD, Antonio Dawson was a key part of the Chicago Fire cast appearing in a number of episodes and playing a key role on the show. Of course, once PD launched he made the jump to the sister series as a series regular which reduced his role on Fire but that didn’t stop him from still popping up frequently until his formal departure from the franchise.
It’s been several years now since we last saw Antonio return to the Windy City with an appearance on Chicago Fire, and sadly we’re not expecting him to return this season either. Seda is a series regular on NBC’s La Brea which films in Australia and would make it difficult for him to return to Chicago Fire even if just for a guest appearance.
Is Shay in Chicago Fire season 11?
If you’re hoping to see Lauren German return as Leslie Shay this season, we’re sorry to report that the odds of seeing Shay back on Chicago Fire this season aren’t looking good. Since leaving the show back in season three, we’ve failed to see Shay appear again in any capacity — which is understandable given the character was killed in the line of duty.
There has been hope each season that fans might see German return via a flashback sequence of some sort to celebrate the character. Sadly, the writers haven’t found a way to pull that off and it’s unlikely we’ll Shay appear at any point in season 11.
