Chicago PD is on the brink of a milestone. We’re closing in on the 200th episode, which is a number few shows ever manage to get to. It’ll be fun to see what the writers have in store for the episode, and how they will manage to juggle a current case with a storyline that looks back on a decade of memorable police work.

When a show reaches a decade, there is inevitably going to be talk of returning cast members. It makes sense; ten seasons means lots of turnover, and lots of faces who have left their mark on fans despite no longer being around.

In the spirit of optimism, here’s 3 Chicago PD characters we’d love to see make a cameo in the 200th episode.

Is Antonio Dawson in the 200th episode of Chicago PD?

Antonio Dawson was a legendary figure on Chicago PD, and the actor who plays him, Jon Seda, has continued to have a close friendship with several of the cast members. He regularly engages with One Chicago fans, and even joked about a crossover between PD and his current show, La Brea.

Dawson was last seen in season 6, when he decided to move to Puerto Rico and kick his drug addiction. It was a big loss for the show, but there was comfort in knowing the character was alive and getting better offscreen. We’re not sure what circumstances would bring Dawson back, but it would be an absolute delight to see him reunite with his old pals. Preferably sober.

Is Vanessa Rojas in the 200th episode of Chicago PD?

Vanessa Rojas (Lisseth Chavez) really seemed like a character who would stick around. She made a big impression on fans in season 7, and was at the heart of several episodes before taking off at the tail end of the season. She was written off as soon as she had been incorporated, and hasn’t really been mentioned since.

Rojas is an intriguing character to bring back because it felt like there was so much more to her that went unexplored. There were plans to flesh out her exit more, but the pandemic let to them being dropped. Could be pretty interesting to find out what she’s been up to…

Is Jay Halstead in the 200th episode of Chicago PD?

The character return on everybody’s mind. Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) is one of the biggest exits in the show’s history, and the fact that he’s still being mentioned often, and is married to Upton (Tracy Spiridakos), means he continues to impact things offscreen.

We really hope that Halstead will appear at some point to wrap up (or preferably, renew) his relationship with Upton, and we can’t really think of a better time to do it than the 200th episode. We aren’t holding our breath on this one, but it would be absolutely fantastic to see happen.
