Chicago PD to delay new episode despite cliffhanger ending
The last episode of Chicago PD ended on a cliffhanger. There haven’t been too many of them throughout season 10, but there is definitely some unresolved story beats that need to be addressed in the next episode.
Unfortunately, fans are going to have to wait longer for the episode than they initially thought. It’s been confirmed that NBC won’t be airing the police procedural during its usual Wednesday slot on on March 8.
When is the next episode of Chicago PD?
To make matters worse, the hiatus will be stretching into the following week, meaning there won’t be any new Chicago PD on Wednesday, March 15 either. The earliest we will be getting an episode will be Wednesday, March 22.
It’s too bad, given that there was a hiatus of multiple weeks at the top of the year as well. On the bright side, it means season 10 will go on for longer, and stretch further into the year than it would have otherwise.

The upcoming episode does not yet have a title, but we did get a promo teasing some essential bits of information. Things appear to get tense with Voight (Jason Beghe), and much of the promo seems to take place in a courtroom, implying that a legal case is at the heart of the story. It makes sense, given the events that went down in “Blood and Honor.”

Hopefully we get, in addition to the main story, some updates on how Burgess (Marina Squerciati) is doing now that she’s attending therapy, and how Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) is doing given her current situation with Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer).
