2. The Dawsey wedding

The most anticipated moment in Dawsey history was the moment the two of them tied the knot in Chicago Fire season 5. With them hopefully set to adopt Louie, the next thing on the checklist was to finally get them married, which happened in “One Hundred.” Though it wasn’t extravagant, it was a beautiful moment between the two of them and something most fans had been looking forward to since the two of them got together.

Unlike Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) and Mouch’s (Christian Stolte) weddings, the Dawsey union wasn’t planned at all. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision, with the two of them heading to the courthouse. Of course, the rest of Firehouse 51 and Dawson’s brother Antonio (Jon Seda) decided to crash the party—but Chicago Fire fans wouldn’t want it any other way.

In a small, but emotional ceremony surrounded by friends and family, Dawsey officially became husband and wife, and our favorite couple was officially together forever (or so we thought at the time). After years of waiting and teasing between the two of them, the wedding was the ultimate Dawsey moment for fans who have followed Chicago Fire from the beginning.

The Dawsey wedding was a great way to celebrate the 100th episode and a wonderful moment between the two of them. Despite what was to come regarding Louie, the wedding gave them a happy moment for their relationship and one that meant just as much to the fans. That meaning for both Dawson and Casey, and Chicago Fire overall, will ensure it always is remembered as part of the couple’s history.
