Romance is tough to maintain on Chicago Fire. Characters come and go, differences get amplified due to the stress of the job, and death is a real possibility whenever the 51 get called to a fire. Still, love perseveres.
There has been plenty of romantic strife due to the break up of Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Brett (Kara Killmer), as well as the strained marriage between Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), but there may be a new romance on the way, and you may be surprised to find out who it’s reported to be between.
Who is Violet dating on Chicago Fire 2023?
The belief on the part of fans is that Carver (Jake Lockett) may have romantic feelings for Violet (Hanako Greensmith), and that they may lead to something pretty serious. There has been some pointed exchanges between the two characters in recent weeks, and while not has been overtly stated, the implication on the part of the show is that they’re into each other.
Or at least, that they will be. Violet asked Wendy Seager (Andy Allo) if her and Carver were a thing, and the way the camera and the actress sort of linger on that line suggests that there’s something being planted regarding a future romance.

TV Line even weighed in, and they noted that the latest batch of episodes does a lot of suggesting. “We’re starting to feel very confident that we are not reading too much into Carver and Violet’s scenes together.”
This would be a fascinating development. Carver has been hooking with Seager in recent weeks, and Violet is still getting over the death of Hawkins (Jimmy Nicholas), so it seems as though they wouldn’t even be looking for something, but very few things happen without a reason on the show, and we imagine the writing team has got a stellar plan laid out— regardless of what happens between the characters.
