In a recent report from Deadline regarding cost-cutting efforts being made across the Wolf Entertainment One Chicago shows including Chicago Fire, Deadline reported that the number of episodes most of the show’s series regulars on the One Chicago shows have been “asked to do next season has been reduced by a couple, going from standard 22 to 18-20.”

The comment was made in reference to changes to the number of episodes members of the cast are expected to appear in next season. Still, it’s created a lot of confusion among the fans who have been left to wonder whether the show’s episode count is being reduced next season.
