Sophia Bush reveals shocking new details about Chicago PD exit
Sophia Bush was a crucial part of what made Chicago PD successful during its first four seasons. The actress was excellent as Erin Lindsay, and her dramatic exit from the show was matched only by the behind-the-scenes drama that came to light in the aftermath.
There were rumors of misconduct on the part of the cast and crew, though Bush, for the most part, kept quiet about the details. That is, until her recent appearance on the Drama Queens podcast (Episode 421).
Why did Sophia Bush leave Chicago PD?
The actress told the Drama Queens host that due to similar misconduct allegations on the set of her previous show, One Tree Hill, she was advised not to talk about what happened on the set of Chicago PD because she could be perceived as being at fault.
"“My rep said to me, ‘You’re going to have to pick. You can either tell the story about your first boss or you can tell the story about your co-worker, but you can’t tell both because then it looks like it’s your fault,’” Bush recalled."

The actress went on to allude to her run-ins with the cast and crew, and how none of them stood up for her despite having a seemingly close-knit friendship. “[I] had a group of men who were like, ‘I love you so much, you’re our best friend.’ [They] never got involved and never stood up,” she added. Bush has continued to maintain a strong television presence since exiting Chicago PD. She starred in the medical drama Good Sam, and has made guest appearances on shows like Jane the Virgin, This Is Us and Love, Victor. She’s also appeared in blockbuster films like Incredibles 2 (2018) and False Positive (2021).
