Jesse Lee Soffer will always be a point of interest for Chicago PD fans. The actor spent a decade playing Jay Halstead, and while he’s been gone for the bulk of season 10, his absence is still very much felt.

Soffer’s absence has led to an increased interest in his personal life. There’s been a lot of focus placed upon his relationships, and the things he’s chosen to focus on in lieu of continuing to star on Chicago PD.

Do children factor into this personal life? Does Soffer have any kids in 2023?

Does Jesse Lee Soffer have a wife?

The answer is no. Soffer does not have a daughter or son, nor has he ever been married. He has, however, been in several high-profile relationships over the years. He dated ex-Chicago PD star Sophia Bush from May 2014 to November 2016. He also dated former Chicago Med star Torrey DeVitto from 2017 to May 2019.

Soffer, who gave a series of lengthy interviews around the time of Chicago PD exit, has remained pretty tight-lipped on his family life. In fact, the only “family” he discusses openly is the family he feels like he gained when he initially joined the One Chicago franchise.

When asked what he was going to miss most about being on PD, Soffer told Variety that he it would be the long shoots with the cast. “You have to be a family when it’s zero degrees in the middle of February and you’re working at 2 a.m.” he added. “It’s such a family. Dysfunctional sometimes, as all families are.”

As with all families, Soffer has said that he plans to keep the door open on a return. “In a family, sometimes somebody moves away or goes to college somewhere else”, he added. “I still love it. I still love the fans. And I still love Halstead. Halstead’s always going to be in my blood. That’s never going to change.”
