Sophia Bush and Jesse Lee Soffer were Chicago PD anchors during its first couple seasons. They powered some of the best episodes, and their chemistry together carried over behind the scenes, as they briefly dated.

The more time passes, however, and the more Bush reveals about her time on the show, the more fans speculate about the current relationship between her and Soffer. Are they still friends? Do the former co-stars stay in touch despite no longer being on Chicago PD?

Chicago PD premiered in January 2014, and Bush and Soffer made their relationship official in May 2014. “They’ve [Sophia and Jesse] been secretly dating for over three months, but only their close friends knew,” an E! News source claimed at the time. “Jesse is super-sweet and they are really cute together.”

They remained a couple until November 2016, when another source announced that they “grew apart” during the filming of Chicago PD season 4. The news of their breakup came shortly before Bush decided to leave the show.

While there were no comments made regarding their romance, Soffer told that he was sorry to see Bush leave. “You know, it’s always sad when a cast member leaves a show,” he told TV Line. “We’re a huge family, and she’s a huge part of making the show what it was.”

The more time has passed, the more Bush has admitted to not enjoying her time on the set of Chicago PD. She said she was subjected to a “consistent onslaught barrage of abusive behavior” and decided to walk as a means of prioritizing her own safety and mental health.

During a recent appearance on the Drama Queens podcast, Bush said that her male co-stars did not step up to defend her when the alleged abusive behavior broke out. “[I] had a group of men who were like, ‘I love you so much, you’re our best friend.’ [They] never got involved and never stood up,” she added.

Bush and Soffer do not currently follow each other on social media, and have not been seen together at any public events since the former left Chicago PD. Bush is currently married to entrepreneur Grant Hughes.
