Has Taylor Kinney been seen on the set of Chicago Fire?

Taylor Kinney has always been the anchor of Chicago Fire, but now he is the show’s mystery. He’s the mystery because it’s unclear whether or not he’s going to be involved with the show moving forward.

Chicago Fire is said to be wrapping up its season 11 production at the end of this month, according to Deadline, and the speculation as to whether Kinney will return as Severide remains up in the air. The actor has not discussed his plans, nor has the showrunner or other cast members.

Is Severide coming back to Chicago Fire?

Now typically, Chicago Fire alternates between shooting on soundstages and real-life Chicago locations. The soundstages are located in the Windy City as well, but as one can safely assume, there is more control within these soundstages than there are the shoots that take place in real buildings and or street intersections.

The shoots that take place in the latter often lead to candid photos and interactions. They’ve led to fun instances of cast members posing with fans, and revelations about cast members being in the show that we previously didn’t know about.

It’s par for the course in the internet age. It’s very difficult to keep things under wraps, and if a show tries, fans will oftentimes discover it anyway. Naturally, there’s been some curiosity as to whether there would be any photos of Kinney on the set, confirming that Severide comes back before the end of the season…

Unfortunately, there have been no such photos. Nobody has spotted Kinney on the set, and the actor has actually been appearing in photos on his girlfriend’s Instagram that confirm he’s been traveling elsewhere.

There’s still a possibility that Kinney does return, and that all of scenes take place on the aforementioned soundstage as a means of keeping his return a secret, but as of right now, there’s nothing to suggest that he will be present before the season 11 finale.
