Chicago PD: Is actor LaRoyce Hawkins married?

Kevin Atwater has had a tumultuous love life on Chicago PD. The officer has run into a series of relationships that go awry due to bad timing, tragedy, or a combination of both.

Given that we know so much about Atwater’s personal life, however, we thought we should take a step back at the life of the actor who plays him: LaRoyce Hawkins. Find out whether the TV star is married and/or has any kids.

Does LaRoyce Hawkins have kids?

Hawkins is not currently married. He prefers to keep his dating life under wraps, but he has spoken about who he is dating and the types of women he likes to date on occasion. The most insight we got into the actor’s love life came during a 2016 interview with Rolling Out.

When asked what traits he looks for in a romantic partner, Hawkins stated:

"“She has to be funny, a sense of humor is pretty big. Naturally, I love to be laughed at, because I think I’m hilarious. But, when I can genuinely get a laugh from a honey, it really means a lot. Also, she has to have a strong faith; believing in herself and in God is always attractive.”"

While he may be unmarried, Hawkins does have a son named Roman. Roman recently celebrated his fifth birthday, and Hawkins posted several photos from the celebration on his Instagram with the caption.

The actor told Cove Chicago that becoming a father changed his outlook on life for the better. “Fatherhood was a shift on its own,” he added. “You wanna be the greatest example you can be to your son, especially as a father. I hope to leave my son with a legacy that helps him recognize his light through his gifts.”
