Fans of the hit TV show Fire Country are eagerly awaiting news of another season. CBS’s newest Friday night drama, which stars Max Thieriot as Bode Donovan, has captured the hearts of viewers with its high-stakes firefighting action and edge-of-your-seat storylines.

In the series, Bode, a young convict seeking redemption, is partnered with elite firefighters to battle massive wildfires across Northern California as part of the Cal Fire program. Fans appreciate the show’s dedication to accurately portraying the heroic work of firefighters and the challenges they face in battling wildfires, and have already a deep connection to the characters and the world of the show.

With season 1 quickly coming to an end, fans are eager for news about the show’s future and to see what it could hold for the characters we’ve come to know and love. Is Fire Country renewed? (Is Fire Country season 2 happening?)

If you’re enjoying the first season of Fire Country and are hoping to see the show return for another season, you’re in luck! CBS has already handed out a season two renewal to its breakout freshman drama which was actually one of the first CBS shows to secure a renewal this season.

The news shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as season 1 has been a strong performer for the network, pairing well with fellow Friday night dramas SWAT and Blue Bloods. The show has also been holding steady in the linear ratings averaging 6 million weekly viewers and ranking as one of the network’s top-rated and most-watched programs of the season

With the season finale coming on May 19, fans will have to deal with a brief hiatus as the show takes the summer off. However, they can rest assured Fire Country will be coming back to CBS for the 2023-24 season and is expected to return with new episodes this fall!
