There are some amazing firefighter shows currently on air across FOX, ABC, CBS, and NBC, but what is the best firefighter show?
Across broadcast, there are some fantastic firefighter shows for fans to enjoy which showcase the heroic and often dangerous work of firefighters. These shows provide insight into the challenges and sacrifices that these brave men and women make every day to keep their communities safe.
One of the shows that helped kick off this recent surge of firefighter dramas has been NBC’s Chicago Fire, which follows the lives of firefighters, paramedics, and rescue squad members in Chicago. Since the show’s debut back in 2012, the genre has seen a major boom with other networks bringing audiences its own show featuring first responders.
ABC now has Station 19, FOX has its 911 franchise, and CBS finally entered the mix this year with the debut of its new firefighter drama Fire Country.

While fans once only really had Chicago Fire to choose from, now there are countless series they can enjoy if they’re a fan of firefighter dramas. Each show has its own unique draw with amazing ensembles and unique perspectives that set them apart from their comrades. Still, that doesn’t mean they’re all equals.
