4. Fire Country

Fire Country is an intense and action-packed show that revolves around the life of Bode Donovan, a young convict played by Max Thieriot, seeking redemption through firefighting. Bode joins a prison release firefighting program in Northern California, where he and other inmates partner with elite firefighters to battle wildfires in the region. The show offers a unique perspective on firefighting, that sets it apart from any other firefighter show currently on the air.

Fans of action, drama, and intense storytelling will love Fire Country. The show’s realistic portrayal of firefighting and the risks involved make for gripping television. The personal struggles and redemption arcs of the characters, particularly Bode, make the show relatable and emotionally impactful.

While Fire Country is towards the bottom of this list, that’s not at all a reflection of the show itself but rather that we only have one season to base our ranking off. The series has had an outstanding first season and there’s no denying the show has the potential to keep getting better with age. In fact, we’d argue that Fire Country is the perfect pick for those looking for a new show from this list to enjoy because of the fact that it’s still so early in its run.
