Frank Silva is a big player in the latest episode of Chicago Fire. He’s a character we’ve seen before, but his sparing presence speaks to the severity of his role. He’s the supervising investigator for the Internal Affairs Department of the Chicago Fire Department, so whenever heads need to roll, he shows up and singles them out.
Silva will be brought in to examine the case against Sam Carver (Jake Lockett), who was arrested and charged with felony assault after trying to defend Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) from an unstable stalker. Whether his presence will benefit Carver or help to condemn him is up in the air…
Who does Brian Boland play on Chicago Fire?
The last time we saw Silva was in season 10, when Violet (Hanako Greensmith) approached him and tried to explain the ways in which Emma Jacobs (Caitlin Carver) was blackmailing both her and her late boyfriend, Hawkins (Jimmy Nicholas).
Silva was sympathetic to Violet’s situation, but he explained that he couldn’t move against Emma unless there was proof. Fortunately, Violet eventually got a hold of a recording that incriminated the ex-paramedic and Silva was able to assist in her getting fired.
