Things have been better for Stellaride on Chicago Fire. Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) just found out that instead of being at a training program in Alabama, Severide (Taylor Kinney) has actually been working an ATF case elsewhere in the country. And he didn’t tell her! She had to find out when Cruz (Joe Minoso) announced it the group!

This is bad news for the couple’s marriage. Granted, Kidd was bad at communicating with Severide when she was on the road in season 10, but she never withheld what she was doing, or fail to give information on where she was. We decided to ask the AI tool ChatGPT if the couple are headed for divorce, and the answer surprised us…

What happened to Severide on Chicago Fire?

When asking ChatGPT to use the voice of a Chicago Fire fan, here’s what it said:

"In any relationship, trust and communication are vital, and the lack of disclosure from Severide certainly raises concerns about the state of their union. Stella might understandably feel hurt, betrayed, and even question the foundation of their relationship. This revelation could potentially strain their bond and lead to a period of turmoil and uncertainty. However, it’s worth noting that Severide’s actions might have been driven by noble intentions. Perhaps he was trying to protect Stella from the dangers and stresses of his work or wanted to shield her from unnecessary worry. It’s possible that he made a judgment call, albeit a misguided one, thinking it was for the best.Severide and Kidd could have heartfelt conversations about trust and honesty, working through their issues and finding a way to rebuild their relationship."

We did not expect a response in which Severide’s intentions would be justified as a means of trying to keep Kidd under the illusion that he was safe. While it makes sense on one level, the firefighter should know that Kidd is more than tough enough to handle the truth, and would eventually have figured out what he was really up to.

On the bright side, AI seems to believe that the couple will struggle through the fallout of this deception, but ultimately stay together. This is the most likely outcome for the show, assuming Severide does eventually return (the jury is still out on when Taylor Kinney will come back).

What do you think of Severide’s betrayal of trust? Do you think the couple are headed for an early split?
