Chicago Fire: Who is Mouch’s wife? Is he married?
Mouch (Christian Stolte) is on the brink of death. The Chicago Fire veteran was shot during the season 11 finale, and true to the show’s cliffhanger tradition, it cut to black before we could find out if he made it.
While lots of attention has been heaped on Severide (Taylor Kinney) and his recent absence, the shift to Mouch makes sense. He’s a crucial part of the 51, and frankly, the firehouse wouldn’t be the same without him. With that in mind, let’s look at the character’s love life and whether he’s married.
Who is Trudy Platt’s husband on Chicago PD?
Mouch is married to Chicago PD‘s Trudy Platt (Amy Morton). The two characters may exist on different shows, but it’s a highlight of both whenever they are allowed to interact with each other onscreen. The two formally met during the wedding of Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) in season 2. They went on their first date the following season, and by the time we got to season 4, they were married.
Their romance did have its fair share of bumps along the way. Mouch’s ideas of a proposal was, in a word, underwhelming, and Platt made it very clear that she was disappointed, but she came to accept that Mouch’s heart was in the right place.
“That proposal was really messy and half-assed. But then again, so are you,” she explained. “But you are also the kindest and most honest man I’ve ever met. I would be the luckiest girl on earth to call you mine,” she says. She then proposed to Mouch, who tearfully accepted. A sweet moment.

Mouch and Platt, or “Plouch” as some fans are want to call them, have been coasting on their fun chemistry ever since. They decided to become co-owners of Molly’s Pub in season 8 along with Mouch’s best friend, Herrmann (David Eigenberg), and Platt’s police connections have gotten Patty’s out of a few sticky situations.
Platt was by Mouch’s side when he was brought into the hospital, and we sincerely hope, for both her sake and ours, that the veteran firefighter manages to pull through.
