Who doesn’t like Jason Pelham? The character had the unenviable task of filling in for Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer), but he proved to be an invaluable addition to Chicago Fire during its tenth season. So much so, in fact that fans were disappointed when he was relocated to another firehouse. He made a brief cameo after his relocation, but the question remains: will be return?

The good news is that Pelham is alive and well. He could very easily slot back into the world of the 51, especially since he works at a nearby firehouse. There’s also the Severide (Taylor Kinney). The character has been MIA for quite a while now, so we could see an arc where Pelham is brought in to pick up the slack left by Severide, much like he did when Casey left.

Is Pelham coming back to Chicago Fire?

It would be an easy transition, and given that Pelham is already liked by fans, it would be a good condolence prize for Severide’s absence. Pelham has a good working relationship with the rest of the 51, as evidenced by the fact that Gallo (Alberto Rosende) sought him out for advice when the firefighter had a to make a tough career decision.

It all sounds good in theory. The biggest problem is scheduling. Brett Dalton, the actor who plays Pelham, is starring in the new NBC show Found. The show, which details the harrowing instances of people going missing all across the country, is gaining lots of steam thanks to the promotion of the network and the fact that it’s going to be one of the only scripted shows to be on the air during the fall season.

Assuming that Found is a success, and gets renewed for additional seasons, it will be difficult for Dalton to appear in two different shows. We’re happy to see him thriving, but it looks like it will come at the expense of seeing Pelham anytime soon.
