The Good Doctor will be experiencing a notable change in its series regular lineup!

Recent reports from TVLine have confirmed that Brandon Larracuente, known for his portrayal of Dr. Danny Perez, won’t be gracing the ABC medical drama as a full-time cast member for its forthcoming season 7. Nevertheless, whispers from various sources suggest that audiences might not have seen the last of him, with the possibility of guest appearances in the upcoming season!

Brandon Larracuente bid a farewell to The Good Doctor following the conclusion of its sixth season. His introduction to the series at the beginning of season 6, as the youthful Dr. Danny Perez, injected fresh energy into the storyline. His heartwarming connection with Dr. Jordan Allen, portrayed by Bria Samoné Henderson, lent a touch of romance to the season. However, it was his character’s battle with drug addiction that truly showcased Larracuente’s acting abilities, painting a raw and authentic portrait of human vulnerability. While initially overcoming his inner struggles, a relapse during the fall finale of season 6 threw Dr. Perez’s journey into turmoil. Subsequently, his focus shifted decisively toward maintaining his newfound sobriety.

With Brandon Larracuente already securing a role in the upcoming Prime Video series On Call, it might be a while before he graces the halls of St. Bonaventure Hospital again.  As fans say their farewells to the beloved Dr. Danny Perez, their anticipation heightens for the unfolding journey of both the character and the gifted actor who portrayed him!
