Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith) had her most troubling season of Chicago Fire last year. The character was forced to deal with the death of her boyfriend Hawkins (Jimmy Nicholas), and her complicated friendship with Gallo (Alberto Rosende).

There were some very tense moments sprinkled through season 11, but the finale suggested that the character may finally be moving on from her past traumas and embracing a more optimistic viewpoint. We’re here for it.

Is Violet returning to Chicago Fire season 12?

The character didn’t play a particularly large role in the finale, but she was on hand to support Brett (Sylvie Brett) as the latter decided to adopt a child. Violet will undoubtedly be around to help Brett deal with the emotional aftermath of being proposed to by Casey (Jesse Spencer). We don’t know whether Brett said yes or no, but either way, Violet will be there to offer support.

There was also a hint at a possible romance between Violet and Carver (Jake Lockett) in the season 11 finale. While it was brief, their few interactions together made it clear that there was attraction, and given that Violet seems to be ready to put herself out there and date again, it would make sense.

Carver has had some interesting/intense dynamics with the women on Chicago Fire, most notably Wendy Seager (Andy Allo), with whom he was seeing briefly, and Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), with whom he’s developed a love/hate work relationship. Things have cooled off with the former, and the Kidd situation took a strange turn when Carver defended her against a stalker, so going a different path and pairing the character up with Violet would keep things fresh and interesting.

There will, of course, be more time dedicated to Violet’s friendship with Gallo. The two have been interested in each other at different points, but they can never seem to get the timing right. It would stand to reason that they stay friends, but given their chemistry, there’s always a chance that things could get more serious. As always, only time will well.
