Chicago Fire season 12: Will Eamonn Walker return as Wallace Boden?
By Cody Schultz
It’s been another interesting year for One Chicago fans, one which has brought a lot of cast changes to NBC’s three One Chicago series.
Across the most recent seasons of Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med, there have been a number of long-time cast members stepping away including many series regulars who have been a part of the shows from the beginning.
This uptick in higher profile departures has left the One Chicago fandom feeling anxious about the futures of their favorite characters — especially those who have been on the shows since Day 1.
Of Chicago Fire‘s 12 main cast members who were part of the season 1 cast, only six remain a part of the cast and the future of two of those cast members is up in the air with fans unsure of whether we could soon be saying goodbye to Taylor Kinney and Christian Stolte. So what about the status of fellow original star, Eamonn Walker?
Is Eamonn Walker leaving Chicago Fire? (Will Boden be in season 12?)
No, Eamonn Walker is not leaving Chicago Fire and is expected to be back for season 12. While Walker’s contract status remains unclear, there have been no indications that Walker will be stepping away from the show ahead of season 12 and we fully expect that Boden will be back in action next season.

While Boden’s role on the show has evolved in recent seasons after he took on the job of Deputy District Chief of District 4, he’s remained a core part of the show and its storylines. This is something we don’t expect will change in season 12 with the expectation being that Boden will continue to work out of 51 and remain a key figure in the show’s upcoming season.
