1. Mark Harmon as Gibbs

It’s only been two seasons since Mark Harmon stepped away from NCIS, but there isn’t an episode that goes by in which we don’t miss the show’s former leading man and his character Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

For 19 seasons, Gibbs was at the heart of the show as the glue that often kept his team together. It was impossible to ever imagine the show going on without him, yet the show managed to effortlessly pass the baton with Gary Cole’s entrance as the team’s new leader. While the transition has been seamless and we absolutely adore Cole’s Agent Alden Parker, that doesn’t mean we can’t also still miss Gibbs and hope to see him back on the show.

The door was left open for Harmon to return to the show and the series has done an amazing job of keeping Gibbs’ spirit alive on the show through mentions of the character on a number of occasions. However, there would be nothing greater than getting to see Gibbs back in front of the camera!

Let’s hope that the writers can find a story that would bring Harmon back into the mix on-screen for a change, even if just for a guest arc or one-off appearance.
