NCIS may be between seasons at the moment, but CBS is not going to let the 20th anniversary of the landmark procedural show pass by without celebrating. The network has announced plans for the first ever ‘NCIS Day’, which will include a marathon and the debut of a show-related app on social media.

NCIS Day will be held on Monday, September 25, and between the main show, NCIS: Hawaii, NCIS: Los Angeles, and the upcoming NCIS: Sydney, the franchise will reach a staggering 1,000 episodes in 2024. The celebration will kick off with a mini marathon on CBS, which will include the very first episode, and two curated picks from seasons 2 (“SWAK”) and 19 (“All Hands”), respectively. The mini marathon starts at 8/7c and will span three hours.

When is NCIS Day 2023 on CBS?

According to TV Line, the celebration will also include the unveiling of the CBS “social take” on the Bandium app. The app was introduced by Gary Cole’s character within the show, and starting on September 25, fans will be able to use it themselves to become “special agents at home.”

The app will allow users to gain access to personalized content, as well as exclusive material and special announcements. It’s a dream come true for longtime fans, and the video below shows off what the app will look like.

Those who download the Bandium app (or merely want to get NCIS merchandise) will also be given 20% off NCIS merchandise at ParamountShop.com. You can use the code NCIS20 when you checkout, and it will be good from September 7 to October 2. (There will also be an on-air QR code shown during the NCIS mini-marathon.)

While it’s tough that fans will have to wait until 2024 for new NCIS episodes, there is definitely some fun to be had in celebrating the longevity and quality of the franchise.
