NCIS has been on the air for so long that a character who was introduced in season 14 can qualify as a veteran within the main cast! That’s a testament to the quality of the show and its knack for finding the right actor to play each role. The character in question, of course, is Nicholas Torres.

Torres, played by Wilmer Valderrama, has been a consistent presence in the show for six years, but given the major cast departures that have recently occurred (Mark Harmon being the most notable example), there are some fans who are curious as to whether Valderrama will be next.

Is Wilmer Valderrama leaving NCIS?

The answer is no. Valderrama does not have plans to leave the show anytime soon, which means we will be getting as much Torres as ever in season 21. The actor talked to Entertainment Tonight about the joy of being on the show, and the real-life friendship that has developed between the various members of the cast.

“It sinks in how unique of an opportunity it was for everybody and the cast on the show”, he said. “I think it’s the people. I think the people is what keeps the engine going. I think that audiences can see that something on set is working and that people like coming to work and they’re still trying.”

That said, the actor has recently been involved in a controversy. Valderrama’s former That 70s Show co-star, Danny Masterson, was recently sentenced to prison, and an old interview in which Valderrama bragged about his sexual conquests, resurfaced in the aftermath.

He’s gotten some heat for his comments online, and it’s certainly not a good look, but it will probably not have an impact on Valderrama’s career or status on NCIS for the forseeable future.
