During 2025, Chicago Med fans watched the second half of season 10 and the first seven episodes of the medical drama's eleventh season.

During those episodes, fans got to see many underrated characters who deserve more of a spotlight. The show also set up several storylines that simply have to be paid off in 2026. Arguably most importantly, Chicago Med featured three truly fantastic moments in 2025.

Robin Charles' Chicago Med return was one of the show's best 2025 moments

After Mekia Cox appeared in Chicago Med episodes from seasons 2 through 5, she and her character, Robin Charles, disappeared from the medical drama. Then, Robin suddenly returned during season 10, episode 21, "Baby Mine..." in a moment that was fantastic to see.

There are two reasons why Robin making her comeback created one of Chicago Med's best recent moments. The first reason is that, even though her character was surrounded by sadness during her return, it was wonderful to see Robin seeming like she is in such a good place. After all, during the character's previous storylines, fans saw the likable and talented character struggling.

Seeing that Robin has seemingly gotten successful treatment and is in a great place is delightful. Secondly, Cox is such a great actor that seeing her back on Chicago Med is very welcome for that reason alone.

A drugged Dean Archer saving the Emergency Room was delightful

As a character, Dean Archer is extremely dedicated and intense. While that makes him a compelling character to observe, there is no denying that Dean almost always seems like he is in a bad mood. As a result, it was funny to see Dean suddenly be in a great mood after a patient drugged him during season 10, episode 14, "Acid Test."

During the same Chicago Med episode, the Emergency Room was under a lot of pressure due to it being the target of an unexpected inspection from a no-nonsense official. In a truly delightful series of events, Dean and the inspector wound up crossing paths.

While it seemed like Dean would doom the ER, the hilarious twist was that in his drugged state, he was able to get the inspector to lighten up, and he saved the ER in the process. It was a funny moment when that was revealed, which could have come from a sitcom, and it was refreshing to see on Chicago Med.

Dr. Will Halstead's Chicago Med return was a 2025 highlight

After Will Halstead left Chicago Med during the show's eighth season, it was very exciting when fans learned he was set to return. Then, during season 11, episode 2, "A Game of Inches," Nick Gehlfuss made his triumphant comeback while carrying a person in need of medical help into Chicago Med's fictional Emergency Room.

Ultimately, I'm not the biggest fan of how the returns of Will Halstead and Natalie Manning were handled during Chicago Med season 11. On top of that, I wouldn't include the moment Natalie made her first onscreen appearance on Chicago Med in years as a 2025 highlight because of the sad circumstances of her being called and told her son had been shot. However, the hero shot of seeing Will emerging in the hospital will definitely go down in Chicago Med history.
