911: Nashville is the newest addition to the 911 universe, and we have a premiere date! Even though the series will air a little later in the 2025-2026 television season, it will still air alongside season 9 of 911. Find out what we know so far about the new show’s debut.

Alongside its predecessor, 911, which stars Angela Bassett, 911: Nashville is slated to air in October. Although this will be a later start for fans, it will serve as a good way to ensure fans see both shows as they debut. 911 is going into season 9 as Nashville begins its journey.

911: Nashville will follow new firefighters led by Captain Don Hart, played by actor Chris O’Donnell. When first announced, the character’s last name was Sharpe, but it has now been changed to Hart.

Hart is married to a woman named Blythe (Jessica Capshaw) and works alongside his son, Ryan (Michael Provost). This is almost a similar dynamic to 911: Lone Star, which ended after five seasons. In 911: Nashville, it’s been teased that the captain, while a family man, does have some secrets.

In addition to these characters, singer and actress LeAnn Rimes is also joining the series as Dixie Bennings. While not much is known about her role, it looks like she will be the mother of firefighter Blue Bennings (Hunter McVey). This name choice may be a callback to one of Rimes's first songs called “Blue,” which was on her debut album in 1996.

Other stars of the series include Hailey Kilgore as Taylor Thompson and Juani Feliz as Roxie Alba. Plus, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley will also star as Cammie Raleigh.

Even though not much is known about what roles everyone will portray, we are looking forward to seeing the connections between the characters. There is no word on if there will eventually be a crossover between the original 911 and 911: Nashville, but the series will likely want to stand on its own before bringing in the firefighters from Los Angeles.

While there is no trailer for 911: Nashville as of yet, a teaser trailer that was released earlier in the summer showed a fire tornado. This could indicate that this will be an emergency scene when the show debuts.

The series is set to debut on Thursday, October 16 at 9/8c following 911. In addition to airing on ABC, new episodes will go up on Hulu the following day.
