One Chicago has been crushing it in 2025. The franchise has dropped numerous episodes that rank among the best of their respective seasons. Plus, it gave us the crossover event we have been asking for repeatedly for over the last six years.
The momentum was bound to slow down, though. It's not that the quality has dipped, but in true network TV fashion, scheduling has shifted, and breaks have returned to the One Chicago schedule. The franchise will NOT be airing new episodes on Wednesday, February 12. Instead, NBC will be airing reruns of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago PD from earlier in the seasons.
One Chicago Wednesday will consist of reruns

This is nothing new for the franchise. February is typically a month that sees a bit of a slow down. There have been Februarys where only one new episode of each One Chicago show aired, and the rest of the month was filled with reruns. Thankfully, fans won't have to succumb to this fate in 2025.
NBC has confirmed that One Chicago Wednesday will return with new episodes on February 19. The network has even released synopses for these new episodes, which promise plenty of fun for fans. It has also dropped video promos, giving us a taste of the tone and the overall vibe of these episodes. The most intense of this promos, unsurprisingly, comes from Chicago PD.
The episode, titled "Street Jesus," will focus on Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) and his efforts to downplay a burgeoning street war in Chicago. The war threatens to hurt a community center project he's been working on, so he decides to leave out a few crucial details when reporting to the IU. This, of course, does not work.

Fans will also get to see the return of an established "nemesis" on Chicago Fire. The episode "Born of Fire" confirms that Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith) will have to contend with a former 51 enemy who shows up and begs for her help. All signs point to the nemesis in question being the infamous Emma Jacobs (Caitlin Carver).
No names are mentioned in the synopsis, but the use of "Nemesis" feels like a pretty major clue, given that Carver's penultimate episode was literally titled "Nemesis." Chicago Med, meanwhile, will have to deal with Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell), and his increasingly self-destructive behavior on the job.
