After taking an extended winter break that kept the shows off the final weeks of November and the entire month of December, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD are finally back! The One Chicago shows return on January 7 with their winter premieres, but fans who rely upon one particular TV carrier to enjoy their favorite shows aren’t going to be able to watch the premieres tonight.
NBCUniversal networks, including NBC, are currently not available to watch via Fubo, which means that One Chicago fans who watch Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD via an active Fubo account will be unable to watch the premieres on January 7, and will have to turn to other means to watch the episodes.
All NBCUniversal channels were removed from Fubo on November 21, 2025, as part of a carriage dispute between the two companies. As the One Chicago shows signed off with their fall finales on November 12, this carriage dispute did not impact fans immediately, but One Chicago fans will now feel the impact of the carriage dispute which will prevent them from watching Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD live via Fubo.
It remains unclear how long the NBCUniversal channels will remain unavailable for Fubo subscribers, but until they’re restored, One Chicago fans will need to turn to other platforms to watch new episodes. Thankfully, there are a few options to choose from.
The best way to watch the One Chicago shows is via Peacock, where fans can watch the new episodes live in the Peacock app via their local NBC affiliates. Fans can also watch the latest Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD episodes the following day on Peacock, which is always a great option for fans unable to watch the episodes live on Wednesday nights.
Peacock is also home to both the current seasons of the One Chicago shows as well as all past seasons, making it the must-have streaming service for One Chicago fans.
If you by chance do not have Peacock, you can also watch the One Chicago episodes via various TV providers such as Dish Network and DirecTV, as well as through streaming plans which come with live TV tiered plans on Hulu and Prime Video.
Hopefully, an agreement will be struck soon to restore the NBCUniversal channels to Fubo. With new episodes of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD slated to drop across the month of January, Fubo subscribers will certainly want to line up a backup plan for viewing the new episodes so they don’t miss a minute of the action in the meantime.
