Chicago Fire season 13 is not new tonight, but we know when it will be back
There is some bad news for One Chicago fans. All three shows are taking their first break of the season. That includes Chicago Fire.
There isn’t a new episode of Chicago Fire season 13 tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 30. The good news is that there is a rerun. You can join Firehouse 51 on the first set of calls of season 13, as the premiere episode is airing tonight. This was the first time we met Chief Pascal.
Why is Chicago Fire off tonight?
It doesn’t look like there’s a big reason for the entire One Chicago block. With the fact that there’s a promo for a new episode and there are reruns, it would suggest that this is a scheduling thing.
NBC needs to find ways to fit 22 episodes across nine months of the schedule. That’s not easy, and it means breaks here and there. While we do have the Christmas and New Year break coming up, there’s usually at least one break this time of year. Then we’ll get into more breaks when the shows return in the new year.
The good news is that this is just a one-week break. Chicago Fire season 13, episode 6 will air on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
What to expect when Chicago Fire returns
The new episode will see Severide mixed up in a case that the Illinois State Police are working. It involves a bunch of ghost guns, which Severide knows means trouble. He isn’t going to let these guns sit out on the streets.
However, Pascal wants Severide to stand down. It looks like Pascal is scared about a situation. Could this be linked to the Miami situation? Something has happened in Pascal’s past, and we’re ready to see what that was already!
Check out the promo and synopsis for Chicago Fire season 13, episode 6 to get ready for the episode next week:
"Severide gets wrapped up in an Illinois State Police investigation after discovering illegal guns on a call. A bird harasses Mouch on the apparatus floor. Kidd keeps an eye on Carver as his attitude worsens."
Chicago Fire airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC. Catch up the following day on Peacock.
