Chicago Fire shut out of Emmys again but one Wolf Entertainment drama finally broke through!

Chicago Fire failed to land a single Emmy nomination, but one Wolf Entertainment drama was able to break through to secure two 2026 Emmy nominations!

Chicago Fire has managed to accomplish a lot over the years, but there is one television milestone that continues to elude the series: an Emmy nomination.

Despite its ongoing popularity among viewers, Chicago Fire continues to be overlooked by the Television Academy. Throughout its 14-season and counting run on NBC, Chicago Fire has somehow never managed to secure an Emmy nomination of any kind. This includes both nominations in the main categories as well as the many technical categories, where several broadcast shows tend to land their sole nominations these days.

It’s certainly been disappointing for fans, and we’ve been particularly shocked by the show’s inability to break through in some of the technical categories, particularly for the show’s stunt work.

Chicago Fire has long featured some truly breathtaking technical shots that have required work from the dedicated and highly skilled stunt team behind the show. The show is full of breathtaking shots featuring amazing performances from the stunt team, including the many emergency sequences involving high-stakes fires and rescues.

So much work goes into the stunt performances, and it’s a shame that Chicago Fire has failed to break through the Emmy races all these seasons later, but there is at least some good news for the Wolf Entertainment team this Emmys season!

While Chicago Fire and the One Chicago franchise once again failed to secure a single Emmy nomination, FBI managed to secure two Emmy nominations this year. CBS’s Wolf Entertainment procedural managed to snag two nominations in the stunt categories with a nomination for Outstanding Stunt Coordination For Drama Programming and a nomination for Outstanding Stunt Performance.

This marks the first Emmy nominations for FBI, which is heading into its ninth season at CBS. It's definitely quite a feat for the show to land its first nominations this far into its run, as we tend to see it become harder for shows to break through the longer they've been on air.

FBI breaking through the noise to land its first two Emmy nominations certainly instills hope that the One Chicago shows could still someday secure an Emmy nomination of their own. Given how elaborate the crossover episodes seem to get every year, we're confident that the Television Academy will one day honor the work the One Chicago stunt team is putting into the three shows.

While the One Chicago shows aren't represented in this year's Emmy race, the franchise is represented through former Chicago PD star Shawn Hatosy, who is once again nominated for The Pitt, and The Bear which was nominated once again for Outstanding Comedy Series and whose cast includes Chicago Med stars Oliver Platt and Sarah Ramos.
