We are inching closer and closer to the hallowed One Chicago crossover. An event that has been six years in the making. The 2020 pandemic happened more recently than the last three part crossover, which also, interestingly enough, dealt with a deadly virus.

We digress. One Chicago is gearing up for another storyline that stretches across three hours. There will even be some exciting switch ups occurring with regard to scheduling. Chicago Med usually kicks things off, but Wednesday, January 29 will flip the script and start with Chicago Fire before pivoting to Med and Chicago PD.

Minoso jokingly mocked Med star Steven Weber

Joe Minoso will be leading the charge on Chicago Fire. The actor has been on hand for each of the crossover events, and has gotten the chance to work with just about everybody in the franchise. This includes Chicago Med standout Steven Weber. Minoso singled Weber out during a recent interview with Screen Rant, and proceeded to jokingly put down the veteran actor.

Minoso joked that he was let down by his time with Weber during the 2019 One Chicago crossover. "I was so excited to work with Steven Weber, and then I did, and it was a real disappointment," he stated. "He was just really, really hard to work with." The actor quickly switched gears, and assured the outlet that he was fooling around.

"That's a joke," Minoso announced. "Please don't take that seriously. [Laughs] I think at this point, with the exception of some of the newer people on Med who came in this season, I've had the pleasure of working with pretty much everybody on all three shows."

Minoso claims upcoming crossover is "incredible"

Despite being one of the few actors who has had experience with most of the other One Chicago veterans, Minoso assured the outlet that the novelty of collaborating on an interconnected story has not worn out. It's just as exciting to him as the first time around. "The fact that we can talk about being in a universe that has three shows that interact with each other," the actor noted. "And has been going on for over a decade seems like a miracle. And so just to be in that hemisphere is incredible."

He's not wrong. All three One Chicago shows continue to be staples for NBC. Fire and Med, in particular, have performed extremely well in the ratings during the first half of their respective seasons. At this rate, we will have plenty of time for future crossovers as well.
