Chicago Med season 11, episode 18 ended with Lenox and Ripley reaching a crossroads in their budding romantic relationship, and it seems the pair are about to be thrust into a complicated case this week as Lenox's personal and professional lives blur together.

As fans will recall, the previous episode saw Ripley struggling to keep up with all the partying Lenox seems to be enjoying in the evening after shifts. He tried to get Lenox to agree to a night in, but she brushed off the idea and things got more than a little complicated as the day went by. So complicated, in fact, that Lenox questioned Lenox's decision-making when she decided to perform a risky surgery.

Following their heated moment in the scrub room, the pair made up, with Ripley surprising Lenox at the biker bar she had previously invited him to. As the episode drew to a close, Ripley dropped Lenox off at her apartment, and she invited him upstairs to continue their night of fun, which was when Ripley admitted he's afraid she's running from something, as it seems like she's dancing faster and faster, afraid the music is going to stop. Rather than opening up to him about the secret she's been harboring, Lenox brushed it off as her just not wanting to be boring as he headed out for the night, clearly annoyed at the way she continues to shut him out.

We're not sure what the future is going to hold for the pair, but it's clear their future is dependent upon Lenox finally coming clean with Ripley. With the finale approaching, we could be building to that and episode 19 might help further that process along as the episode will welcome back Lenox's younger brother Kip via a storyline that is sure to get a bit messy.

As Lenox and Ripley continue to navigate their relationship, stills from the episode show the pair engaged in what seems to be an icier conversation in the hospital lounge that will be interrupted when Kip shows up at Gaffney seeking his sister's help.

As the episode synopsis teases, "Lenox’s brother Kip shows up at Gaffney asking her for her help with a co-worker who was injured on the job." We get a glimpse of Kip's arrival via the below photo in which Lenox and Ripley greet Kip outside the ER. The photo keeps the identity and status of Kip's co-worker hidden as we see the trio looking inside the vehicle used to get his co-worker to the hospital.

It's going to be interesting to see exactly what brings Kip's co-worker to Med and why he sought out Lenox's help directly. Hopefully, between treating Kip's co-worker, Lenox will inch closer to telling both Kip and Ripley the truth about her diagnosis.

Lenox won't be the only one dealing with some personal baggage this week on Chicago Med though, as it seems Hannah will be forced to confront her past while helping a pregnant patient brought into the ED.

The synopsis for the episode teases that the patient's dangerous and complicated labor forces Hannah to confront her past, hinting that the storyline could be connected to the fear Hannah has been carrying about dying in labor like her mother did. We know that Hannah's father will be returning and the promo for the episode sees Hannah telling him that she needs to clear the air about something that has bothered her her whole life.

Speaking of clearing the air, the promo for the episode also reveals that Frost will also be confronting demons from his past this week. For Frost, the time has come for him to confront his dad about how he failed to protect him when he was a child, leading to an older co-worker taking advantage of him.

It's going to be interesting to see what leads Frost to finally confront his father, but we're glad Frost is finally getting the chance to put confront his dad and address the pain he caused him both directly and indirectly through his actions.

It's unclear what the episode might hold for Charles, Goodwin, or Archer, but it's clear based on what we do know about the episode that fans won't want to miss Chicago Med season 11, episode 19, when it airs Wednesday, April 29 at 8/7c on NBC!
